The Ayala Foundation, Inc. (AFI) and the National Teachers College (NTC) marked May 20, 2021, a day of collaboration to develop a better education in the Philippines amidst the pandemic.

The partnership between AFI and NTC will ensure that the future of Philippine education will help transform the lives of many Filipinos. The synergy will prioritize education innovation to ensure that children will have the right opportunity to develop their talents and contribute to their families and communities. The development of teachers and leaders in education is also looked upon in this collaboration to create more education innovators who can pave the way for competent and responsible individuals to build a better nation for the future.

Having a similar vision and mission, they come as one to provide a better education system by providing access to every Filipino to innovative education. AFI and NTC identified four key areas as potential synergies: the professional development of teachers, scholarships, NSTP collaboration, and research. This synergy will provide better access to affordable and compelling education, particularly in this time of learning crisis.

The AFI and NTC partnership aims to equip teachers with the right skills to be effective and efficient to ensure students’ better transfer of knowledge.

Together, AFI and NTC’s goal is to co-develop the schools of the future where students would have the right competencies, motivation, and technology that will empower them to deliver a quality of education. Thus, Mr. Fred Ayala, NTC President, stressed that AFI and NTC can be the catalysts that can help fulfill the dreams of the Filipino youth. The partnership can provide Filipinos access to teachers and education leaders who can develop better their knowledge, mindset, and skills as they learn with joy, rigor, and purpose.

The synergy between the two organizations affirmed their faith in the Filipino as they create a better impact in nation-building that can help a better Philippines for the 21st century.

AFI is the social development arm of the Ayala group of companies that envisions communities where people are creative, productive, self-reliant, and proud to be Filipino. AFI also improves lives through programs in Education, Youth Leadership, Sustainable Livelihood, and Arts and Culture.

NTC, a premier institution under a Yuchengco-Ayala educational partnership, ensures that Filipinos will have access to quality education at a reasonable cost.
