Hospitality Management education is leveling up at theNational Teachers College (NTC). Ayala Land and NTC collaborated to provide virtual learning sessions for NTCians enrolled in BS Hospitality Management (BSHM). The initiative will have hospitality industry experts from various Ayala Land properties in the Philippines to provide training and insights to BSHM students of NTC on running the hospitality industry, especially in times of a pandemic. The partnership will enable NTCians, particularly those enrolled in the Hospitality Management program, to gain access to a level-up hospitality management education and enhanced skills training that would help them achieve greater heights in a hospitality career once they graduate.
The Student Value Add program will solidify NTC’s goal of producing industry-ready professionals who are ready to contribute their skills to the betterment of the Philippines. The collaboration aims to provide significantly better career outcomes for NTC graduates.
In 2019, Ayala Land, through its Seda Hotel chain, became an integral part of the completion of the Seda Mock Hotel Room, the hotel simulation room facility at NTC.
NTC’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program under NTC’s School of Business provides exceptional hotel and tourism simulation facilities. Aside from the Seda Mock Hotel Room, the program boasts a state-of-the-art kitchen and cafe. The HTM program is also one of the first to showcase HTM laboratory alternatives during Covid-19 and is powered by Hotel Management System (HMS) on Cloud – a recent computer module used in the industry.
The collaboration is a way for Ayala Land to expand its Alagang Ayala Land, the company’s corporate social responsibility, to the Philippines’ educational sector to further its social development.
