Wherever we are in our life, we will remember where we gain memorable experiences and values like Cynthia L. Ayles, an Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, who still remembers her days in the National Teachers College.
It has been 28 years since she graduated from NTC, but she can still recall her time in the school that shaped her to be humane, respectful, God-fearing, and passionate. Being an earnest student, Cynthia was a consistent scholar of the CPTA when she was studying, and with her scholarship, she can make both ends meet.
According to Cynthia, “NTC has transformed me and has brought me to where I am right now. I was a committed student then no hangouts purely bahay at paaralan lang, that’s why upon hearing our alma mater song during our practice for graduation, my tears started rolling down my cheeks. The reason why I love my work so much is that I don’t want to waste those sacrificing years I’d spent in NTC.”
Looking back at those times where you shed blood, sweat, and tears would make you emotional. Those four years in college would always be memorable for everyone, and Cynthia was most grateful for those four years she spent in NTC because it changes her life.
Apart from that, there are people in NTC who opened doors of opportunities for her. Among them was Dean Padilla, who endorsed her into a private school in Quezon City right after graduation. Her professors also helped her be the best and persuaded her to pursue her graduate studies.
In Cynthia’s journey to success, she often considered NTC as part of the abounding graces she received from God because, in NTC, she developed values that she holds dearly.
“NTC helped me to develop these core values: Nationalism, trustworthiness, dedication, and service. These core values run in my veins, making me passionate about my work,” said Cynthia.
Indeed, NTC always teaches students values that they can bring and share wherever they go because it is not simply an institution that provides knowledge. It also holds genuine values that students will remember to uphold.
NTC, a premier institution under a Yuchengco-Ayala educational partnership, ensures that Filipinos will have access to quality education at a reasonable cost.
NTC Partnered with experts in remote learning to ensure the effective delivery of its remote learning. These include: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)-JWEL who works with member organizations to promote excellence and transformation in education to address global opportunities for scalable change in education; Mapua University, one of the pioneers in distance learning, has been continuously improving learning connectivity online even before ECQ; Derrick Latrielle ran learning and development operations for blue-chip technology, telecommunications, and BPO companies operating around the world, especially in South America and Southeast Asia; and, Dr. Edizon Fermin is a member of CHED’s Technical Working Group on Remote Learning.
NTC’s learning continuity plan is clear: stay safe at home and learn meaningfully with assistance from our responsive remote staff, either through calls, texts, social media messages, or emails. The world may have changed drastically, but NTC’s commitment to providing accessible and quality education remains steadfast.
